Our pic for today is from that Starsky and Hutch episode we posted a video from a while back. The episode is “The Velvet Jungle,” which was first broadcast on March 5, 1977. Tim is the blatantly racist owner of a diner who is more concerned about a broken window than the fact that the Latina woman who deliberately broke the window was in dire need of his help.

This is a prime example of Tim taking what could have been a ho-hum bit part in the hands of a lesser actor and giving it the indelible Timothy Carey stamp. “People expect super pancakes from me in this neighborhood!”
