This week’s video is the trailer for Peeper (1975), directed by Peter Hyams and starring Michael Caine and Natalie Wood. The great Guy Marks narrates and speaks the credits in the actual film, doing a stellar Humphrey Bogart impersonation.
The aspect ratio is a little wonky, but it still works. We also want to extend warmest birthday wishes today to the Carey twins, Romeo and Silvana!
Presenting today’s pic, which is from Peter Hyam’s Peeper (1975). Michael Caine and Natalie Wood starred in this light-hearted homage to the classic Bogart private eye flicks of the 40s. Tim and veteran character actor Don Calfa make a great Mutt and Jeff-style team as a couple of torpedos named Sid and Rosie, determined to rub out Caine and Wood.
The opening credits are spoken by Bogie impersonator Guy Marks, which is kinda cool if you think about it. Also appearing is the notorious Liz Renay.
