Today our pic takes another look at Joe the bouncer from Elia Kazan‘s East of Eden (1955). In marked contrast to his rumpled just-woke-up look from earlier in the film, Joe is now freshly groomed, snappily dressed and raring to begin another night of tossing drunks out on their ears.
I’m sorry folks, I honestly can’t think of anything else to say except “What a handsome devil!”
An impressive shot, indeed. I suggest it for the cover illustration (or frontispiece) of your forthcoming Carey book. Now if only they would go and find the original dialogue track, with Timothy’s own speaking voice, and put out a restored version of East of Eden.

Thank you, RJ! It would make a fabulous cover, for sure. Wouldn’t that be AWESOME if they could find that dialogue track?? WOW.
