Today’s pic (don’t forget to click to embiggen) features Tim in another of his don’t-blink-or-you’ll-miss-him roles. I’ll Cry Tomorrow (1955) was directed by Daniel Mann. It garnered Susan Hayward her fourth Oscar nomination for her portrayal of musical star Lillian Roth‘s harrowing journey into, and out of, alcoholism. As she lies delirious in a dingy flophouse, Tim’s character stumbles drunkenly into her room, wearing what looks like a woman’s coat (and nothing else). It is strongly implied that he then proceeds to take advantage of her.
He is uncredited, silent and only on screen for a few seconds. Like I say, don’t leave the room or you’ll miss him.
