Today’s pic (and I should probably remind you to click to embiggen) is from William A. Graham’s Change of Habit (1969), Elvis Presley‘s last theatrical film. Tim is uncredited as the unnamed (and probably racist) manager of the Ajax Market. Sister Barbara (Jane Elliot) is about to give him what-for.
Unfortunately Tim had no on-screen time with Elvis, but they did have an interesting conversation behind the scenes. “[Elvis] came up to me and said, ‘Aren’t you Timothy Carey? Didn’t you do The World’s Greatest Sinner?” Timothy related in an interview. “I said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘I always wanted to see that show. Do you have a 16mm version?’ I only had a 35mm, but we proceeded to talk about it. He knew all about it. I only had four prints. That was one of the reasons that I didn’t send it.”
